ANGUILLARA SABAZIA
This little holiday resort is in a lovely position on a headland on the south-east of Lake Bracciano in the province of Rome. The town was a fief belonging to the Anguillara family and, with its castle (now the town hall) and gate leading into the old town, it retains something of its medieval atmosphere. The sixteenth century baronial palace and the Collegiate Church of the Assunta are interesting. Nearby is the Church of San Francesco with fifteenth century frescoes of the Viterbo school. There is an Air Force History Museum in Vigna di Valle.
