Description
A tourist town located in the upper portion of the Bois basin, at the opening of the alpine valley of Valles, and surrounded by the Dolomite walls of the Marmolada, Fobocon, S. Martino and Cislop rock fields. The ski area, together with those of S. Pellegrino and Moena, is part of the “Tre Valli” circuit. The many lift facilities, which reach 2553 meters in altitude, serve 22 slopes of varying difficulty that extend over 80 km in all.

Among these we note “Valles-Falcade,” “Le Buse and the “Margherita.” Interesting trails also exist for cross-country and alpine skiers. The first have 4 circuits at their disposition, for a total of 40 km. The second can cross the Valfredda and Franzedas Falcade is included in the “Dolomiti Superski” circuit, which offers a pass that permits skiing in 12 different areas, for a total of 180 km of slopes, of which 50 have artificial snow.
After-ski activities include a natural ice-skating rink, a covered bocce court, cinema, pizzerias, pubs, bars, restaurants and discotheques. Among the gastronomic specialties we recommend the pumpkin or cadorina gnocchi, “casunzei,” and lasagna “da fornel.”
