This is the southernmost region of the Italian peninsula. Here the mountains lie between two seas, the Ionian and the Tyrhennian. Besides the famous beaches of Tropea and Maratea, the archaeological zones of Sibari and Locri Epizefiri and the towns of Gerace and Stilo are worthy of note.
