Created in 1987 as the result of a comprehensive remodeling project that caused quite a stir due to its highly innovative materials and approach ( the Alucobon insulation system, window glass with very fine flakes of gold on the inside and noise-reducing padded doors etc.), the Antares Hotel Accademia currently stands in all its imposing glory at No. 68, Viale Certosa.
Just a few minutes from the Milan Fair, the Sforza Castle and Via Vincenzo Monti, famous for its fabulous shopping, the Accademia, quite near the heart of the city, receives its guest in the beautiful Neoclassical lobby, boasting the precious "Endimione" by Ferruccio Prini and "Le Melissai" by Teresa Pomodoro.
The 67 rooms, decorated themselves with finely executed "trompe-l'oeil" frescos, open onto magical gardens illuminated with spring colours and are equipped with computerized air-conditioning system, soundproofing and fire-alarm system for greater comfort and safety.
